Good architecture should have a story behind it.
btl was started in 2023 by Ar. Faizan Hussain and Ar. Thressia Paul, with a shared belief in context-driven, story-led design. We’re interested in the little things that make each project its own- its place, people, memories, materials and everyday life.
As designers, we tend to look at design through different lenses. Faizan tends to think about the bigger picture- planning and geometry, while Thressia is drawn to materials, details and the small decisions that shape a space. Somewhere between these two ways of thinking and a shared interest in the business of building a practice, we’ve grown BTL into a curious and collaborative practice, while always looking for the story between the lines.
Studio
Between the Lines is where stories unfold.
We believe an office is more than just a workspace. It should be a place that gives thoughts room to wander, encourage discussions to flow and ideas to unfold, allowing us to decode the stories behind every project.
Up on the fourth floor, our terrace is our own little haven. It’s where we gather, exchange thoughts, talk about everything and nothing, let conversations wander wherever they want to and where some of our best ideas begin.
